The WhyteHouse is, I hope, a way to find that special phrase or saying etc. in the 2nd edition of the AA Big Book. I have provided a link in a couple of places on this page for your convenience, so you can get to the search page. It is my hope that you will find this site useful to you and our friends of "Bill W.". May your Higher Power watch over you at all times.

You may be wondering: "Am I an Alcoholic?" Only YOU can answer that, but most likely if you are even just wondering that question, the chances are good that you may be at the right web site. Please read the >>>-----> Big Book, remembering to keep an open mind.
Perhaps you should read this to see if it strikes a chord.
The chains of habit are too weak to be felt until they are too strong to be broken. ----- Samuel Johnson
A simpler, or perhaps a better way to look at the 12 steps.
Where Can I Search the Big Book?
Just go to the bottom of this paragraph and you will find a link, just click on it to go to one search box on a different page. Just put in the word or phrase and you can even check to have just the 164 pages. If you put in several words and do not find what you are looking for, then, of course, try less words. This works for me. The only problem is that if you put in the word spirit it will match spiritual. I am still working on the search code to see if I can fix that but so far I haven't been able to do it, but I will keep trying. But you should find what you are looking for. The main reason for the 164 pages search is that this almost the same in all versions of the book. Stories come and go and change so it would be very hard to include everything from all editions, especially since I do not want to violate copyrights, and the 2nd edition has lost its copyright here in the U.S.A.
